Suspected Harasser Asked: 'Yet Suppose I Could Be Madeleine?'
A female indicted with pursuing Kate McCann allegedly recorded her a phone message which posed: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, 24, who court testimony revealed has repeatedly declared she was the vanished Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are facing charges charged with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February 2025.
On Monday, the tribunal heard call records and information obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test throughout 2023 and 2024.
Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a family holiday in Portugal - is among the most covered investigations and continues to be unresolved.
'I Am Not Seeking Money'
Another voicemail, played in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I realize I'm fat and plain like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I feel."
While one recording of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's recording said: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? Then what? Wouldn't that be crucial for you?"
"I do not need money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to understand," she added.
The panel was informed that by means of emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a biological test, transmitted early photographs to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and asserted to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.
Robert Jones, an investigator with the police force who collated the evidence, informed the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

The court learned the co-defendant struck up a association via internet with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a appearance to the McCanns' residence in the county in that winter.
